Would you like to volunteer for the WPA?
There are lots of ways to help out, without being responsible for a “big job.” Here’s where we need some help this year so please contact the Friends of Worthley Pond and let us know how you’d like to help:
- Invasive Plant Patrol: We need two additional volunteers to join our team of Shoreline Stewards. Click here for more information.
- FWP Bulletin Board: If you have a creative gene (or two), the FWP Bulletin Board updates are easy and ensure that everyone around the pond is well informed.
- Facebook Editor: Help the FWP publicize its programs and events, post wildlife pictures, and share sponsor pages.
- Christmas in July Parade Organizer: Orchestrate boat parade, find judges for the best decorated camp and boat competition, and present awards to the winners. And, most importantly, if you have new ideas to keep this event fresh and festive, you are the person for this job!!
- Golf Tournament: Get prizes from local businesses, set up day before and day of event, clean up . . . lots of options here; if you’d like to get involved, just let us know and we’ll find a job for you!
Additional volunteer opportunities will be posted throughout the season so, if you don’t see what you like here, stay tuned!! Better yet, please let the Friends of Worthley Pond know what you’d like to get involved with and we’ll make that happen. It’s that easy!!
If you are interested in any of these roles, please contact info@worthleypond.org. Thank you!!
