Christmas in July is an annual event hosted by the Friends of Worthley Pond. It will be held on July 18th, so please join in the festivities!
There is a rumor that SANTA will be ditching his sleigh for a JETSKI and will be circling the POND late afternoon – 4:00 (ish) to see if he sees young campers who have been either naughty or nice 🙂
For those participating in the annual boat parade, there will be a bright, orb light at the end of the Thibodeau’s dock (near the Snowshoe Club). Please navigate your boat as close to the dock as possible so that our judges can get each boat owner’s name.
All boats, whether competing for “best dressed” or simply enjoying the scene, should navigate counterclockwise around the pond. Please remember to have your boat’s running lights on at all times. Decorated boats are beautiful but SAFETY is our main concern. If the judge’s boat approaches you, please identify yourself so the judges know whom to give the awards to.
Decorating your camp? Spectacular!! Camps should be ready by 9 p.m. on Saturday in order to participate in this friendly competition. Judging will begin between 9:00-9:30 p.m., after the boat competition. But you are encouraged to leave your decorations up and lights on until 11 p.m. to ensure that the judges have a chance to include you in the competition.
Many thanks to Mike Thibodeau for orchestrating the camp and boat competition this year! The judges may make two or three trips around the pond to enjoy the decorations and to solidify their decisions. So PLEASE leave your lights on as long as you can. The judges’ decisions will be put on the Friends of Worthley Facebook page and the winners will receive their award certificates on Sunday.
