For many years, the Worthley Pond Association has supported the LakeSmart program in an effort to protect and preserve the beauty and health of our great pond. This year, we have been awarded the “Golden Pond” award by the Maine Lakes Society and will be recognized for this award on December 2nd. The “Golden Pond” award recognizes those lake communities that have a high percentage of LakeSmart properties. We know there are only a few Maine ponds and lakes that have achieved this distinction AND we are ONE of them!
Dave Clement , Worthley Pond LakeSmart Coordinator, will attend the awards dinner and celebration on December 2nd. Everyone is invited to attend this fun event, so please see the event details and R.S.V.P. as soon as possible.
Note: In 2012, we were awarded the prestigious Conservation Award from the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District . This award sign is proudly displayed at the intersection of Green Woods Road and the East Shore Road.
